Batch convert images
Convert many JPEG, PNG or WebP images to one format at once, with a different format for any file that needs one, and download a ZIP.
How it works
- Add two or more images. Each one gets its own row.
- Pick the format for the whole batch, or tick "Use a different format for this file" on any image that needs its own.
- Convert. A file that fails is reported without stopping the rest, and you can retry just the failed ones. Download images one at a time or as a ZIP.
Good to know
- PNG and WebP transparency is flattened to white when converting to JPEG. Converting to a format never adds detail or restores transparency.
- Each image is still capped at 50 MB and 60 megapixels; there is no separate limit on how many files you add, but very large batches use more memory and take longer, especially on a phone.
- A file is only reported done if the output really is in the format you asked for. If your browser can't encode a format (some can't write WebP), that file fails with a message instead of being saved under the wrong name.
- One failed file does not stop the rest — it is reported and skipped, and you can retry just the failed files.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens to transparency when converting PNG or WebP to JPG?
- JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Converting back to PNG later does not bring the transparency back.
- Can I convert most images to one format and a few to another?
- Yes. Turn on "Use a different format for this file" on any row to give it its own output format instead of the shared one.
- Why did a WebP conversion fail?
- Some browsers can't write WebP files. Instead of quietly saving a PNG under a .webp name, the file is reported as failed with the reason, and the other files carry on.
- Can I download everything at once?
- Yes, once at least two images are done, a Download ZIP option bundles every successful result.
