Good to know
- Presets exist only where we read the official source (see the country pages); anything else falls back to custom dimensions. A measured pixel/byte-size check is not a government acceptance decision.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the photo be accepted?
- We measure the finished file against the published rule and show each result. Only the issuing authority decides whether a photo is accepted.
- Does it retouch or smooth my photo?
- No. Presets only crop, resize and re-encode. They do not change the background, smooth skin or alter the person.
- What if the photo is too small for the preset?
- The tool says so and offers no download. It does not enlarge a photo, because that adds no real detail. Use a larger original.
- What if my country or document is not listed?
- Use custom dimensions. We add a preset only after reading the official page.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Photos are processed in your browser.
