Split PDF
Split a PDF by page ranges, into single pages, every N pages, after chosen pages or so each file stays under a size you set, and download the parts one by one or as a ZIP.
How it works
- Add the PDF. A preview of each page appears.
- Choose how to split: ranges you type (one per line, for example 1-3 then 4-10), every page, every N pages, after the pages you name, by file size, or by the PDF's own bookmarks. Each preview shows which file its page goes into, or which bookmark starts each section.
- Split, then download each part or all parts in one ZIP.

- Can I check which pages go into which file?
- Yes. Each page preview is labelled with the file it will land in, and pages left out are marked, before you split.
- Can I split a PDF into single pages?
- Yes. Choose Every page and each page becomes its own file, named with its page number.
- Can I download all the parts at once?
- Yes. When there are two or more parts, a single ZIP holds them all. Each part and the ZIP are reopened and checked before the download appears.
- Can I split a PDF so every part is under an upload limit?
- Yes. Choose By file size and enter the largest size you want in MB. Each candidate part is saved and measured, and the parts are as long as they can be while staying at or under that size. A single page that is already larger than the size you set gets its own file and is marked, because splitting cannot make one page smaller. To make a file itself smaller, use Compress PDF.
- Can I split a PDF by its bookmarks or table of contents?
- Yes, if the PDF already has bookmarks — choose By bookmarks. Each top-level bookmark starts a new file, named after its title; a checkbox also splits at nested bookmarks for finer sections. Any pages before the first bookmark become their own leading file, and you see the resulting page ranges before you split. A PDF with no bookmarks shows that plainly instead of offering a broken split — add bookmarks first with the bookmarks tool if you need them.
- How many files can one split make?
- Up to 1,000. If a choice would make more, the page says so and does not split.
- Does splitting reduce the file size?
- Each part is smaller than the whole because it holds fewer pages. The content of the pages is not recompressed.
